Exploring my artistic role in the contemporary world, I continue to pursue art as a form of listening, understanding and interpreting: taking abstract concepts and reimagining them into recognizable forms. Drawing inspiration across historical and contemporary influences, my work stands to create unorthodox parallels between a wide range of subjects and materials.
The trajectory of my work is initially inspired by the desire to translate interpreted movement into still images, revealing a second life within the inanimate. As I continue to experiment with content, form and materials, this motive evolves further. With a focused interest in nature, my paintings seek the intersection between the life forms across time to capture their presence and appearance in the natural world. My subjects reflect careful examination within both environmental and cultural context, reflecting within these systems to reveal larger, unifying significance. Here, my work remains aimed towards expanding personal and social intersections that are quietly present, often backed by scientific perspectives that are cross-compared with tradition and culture, searching for a holistic definition of the significance within.
